Due to the success of earlier, we are continuing with our plans on having 2 events a year in the city of broad shoulders, one in the Spring (2009s) and the other in the fall (2009f). As always, we will attempt to move with the market and modify the events based on attendees feedback. With that in mind, 2009f may very well be a virtual event.

  • ChicagoCon 2008f   ( 21 Articles )

Due to the success of the first ChicagoCon in Sept of 2007, we are moving full steam ahead with our plans on having 2 events a year in the city of broad shoulders, one in the Spring (2008s) and the other in the fall (2008f).

With all new keynoters, a separation of the certification training and the security presentations and a full day and a half of con activity, ChicagoCon will not only evolve based on the feedback of our attendees, but thrive with even more new ideas.

This is the inaugural event for the Digital Construction Company with many more to come. We have selected a venue that includes a 180 seat auditorium and plenty of individual classrooms with computers, projectors and white boards to handle 200+ students. We also have highly regarded partners to provide 11 boot camp style courses for the most widely known security certs in the industry. We'll start each day with a free continental breakfast and 30 minute keynote by an industry luminary. Tthen it's off to class, then lunch, then back to class, then evening presentations in rapid fire style at 30 minutes each on Soft Core topics such as career advancement and policy discussions and move into the Hard Core topics with hacking demos and tool usage. We will also hacking contests on 2 nights by our friends at Core Security and LSO. On Fri afternoon, students take the exams for their chosen boot camp, and then we wrap it all up with a party Fri evening to celebrate your successes.

In Chicago, we're known for our blue collar, hard working attitude. So, we'll work hard and play hard for an amazing week of learning, career advancement and networking with peers... all in the city of broad shoulders.
